i really wanted to post some pictures of our adventure home but i left my chord at home.....bummer! so, i'm unable to post pictures. sorry to those of you who thought you would see pictures.
good news....our house is fine. our electricity is on. huge praise!!!!!!!
bad news....our fence in the backyard is in bad shape as well as our trees took a pretty bad beating. i will post pictures as soon as i am able.
we are heading to rockwall (my parents) on wednesday and then will head back to houston with the kids on friday.

MM...glad you all are okay. We suffered minor damage in comparrison to MANY around us with loosing most of our siding from the top portion of the house (the bottom is brick) and we had a gate down from our fence. So far that is all we know. Carlton headed home today and checked it out. He couldn't tell much about the roof, but it didn't appear to him to be missing any shingles. SO that's good.
I hope the kids and I get to go home this weekend too. I read online where our area is suppose to be fully restored by the 23rd, but I was told by a friend whose husband has been involved in all the "meetings" that Nederland should be 80% restored by this weekend. I just pray we are in that 80%!
I will be praying for you all and your community. Please remember us as well.
